Johnson Park Cornhill Development

Updated: Nov 21, 2019

On Tuesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced $4.5 Million Dollars in state aid to Johnson Park Center for their proposed Cornhill Community Developments. There has been a lot of concerns and discussion around this project.

Let me be the first to say I hear you and I am listening. This past Wednesday, I had an opportunity to meet with Rev. Maria Scates and her board about the proposed community developments. They do include a community center and 62 affordable housing united spaced out over 3 buildings.

In the course of our conversations, I expressed the need to further engage the community in this development and ensure the the residents of that area knew fully what was going to occur. She agreed!

In the next few days, I will share a Date, Time, and Location of this community forum and work with the community to make sure that people show up.
